About Severn Sounds

Severn Sounds started as a community festival, based in Worcestershire. They were looking to bring a platform for local acts to perform to large audiences, whilst supporting local charities.

As the years have gone by, we have grown substantially with support form local businesses providing sponsorship to allow us to keep the entry costs to a minimum to bring Worcester its very own family festival for all. Over the years, we have supported charities such as Acorns Childrens Hospice, Herefordshire SHYPP, St Richards Hospice and New Hope Worcester. We continue to support New Hope Worcester as our main charity for 2017. Overall, we have raised over £6000 for charity. As the festival has grown, a committee of volunteers has been formed to share the workload. We are all very passionate about bringing this type of event to Worcester to cater for all ages, families and budgets. The festival has now expanded into a not-for-profit organisation working with larger festivals, events and venues across the Midlands providing a platform for young musicians. Severn Sounds prides itself on its strong team of volunteers and connections with the events and local community.
